In this kit you will use the CRISPR-Cas9 system to introduce a precise DNA mutation into harmless E. coli. Edited bacteria gain resistance to an antibiotic, allowing you to visually identify successful genome edits on agar plates.

This experiment demonstrates how scientists edit DNA using plasmids, guide RNA, and Cas9.
