Very sturdy...except the feet
The box is sturdy and can't be turned on unless the lid is closed. The only issue was that the little sticky feet came off. One was already missing before I got it. (not in the bag or box) I ended up using epoxy to stick on some little nylon nuts and screwed flathead (nylon) bolts into them. Now it has adjustable feet and I can level it! Otherwise, I'm very happy with this and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn gel electrophoresis. It came with extra combs and a device to hold in the gel while it's cooling...nice. Great, Reasonably Priced Gel Electrophoresis Box/Set
I ordered two of these sets, received them promptly, and they work great! Perfect for my high school biotech class. Note: they don't come with their own power source. Which is totally fine, because they tell you that on the website.

A great buy
Gel boxes aren’t cheap, this is a solid buy. I highly recommend, however, I ended up getting a power supply after realizing it didn’t include one; ultimately that’s my fault for not reading the product description. 10/10 I do recommend
