Current Stock:

Plasmid pJE202 also known as pVIB is an amp resistant plasmid that expresses the Lux operon genes from Vibrio fischeri. Originally from http://jb.asm.org/content/164/1/45.full.pdf

Plasmid comes already in E. coli DH10B strain of bacteria for immediate function. You can purify the plasmid from this strain if you want only the plasmid.

Just inoculate a culture with the bacteria and grow them at 30C or below and then take the plate or culture in a dark room to see them bioluminescence.

If you are thinking about using this to grow bioluminescent bacteria but have no experience with this please purchase this kit instead as the bacteria require certain chemicals to function and grow properly.

**Perishables included in this kit have been Freeze Dried. They will be viable up to a month at Room temperature**

I ordered this product and I'm very happy with the results. Plated them on agar with ampicilline and after 3 days I saw the bioluminesce. Very good product, delivers what they say.

I bought this bacteria at Feb. 2015 for one of my project. Josiah is such a nice guy who helped me a lot for culturing this bacteria. Now I have another project need to use them, take it out from freezer and streak on the plate, they still glow fine.
